Iconic Dutch design, fully reupholstered to your taste

This original Gispen 1235 is a design by André Cordemeyer and belongs to the well-known Cirrus series. With its elegant chrome tubular frame, Bakelite armrests, and timeless design, this is a true Dutch design classic from the 1960s.


The chairs are fully reupholstered according to your wishes. You choose the fabric, color, and look yourself, so that the chairs perfectly match your interior. Whether you opt for subtle bouclé, rich velvet, natural wool, or a striking design: together we create a unique piece.


During the restoration, the chair is completely disassembled. The foam is replaced, the upholstery renewed, and the chrome frame carefully cleaned and polished. The armrests are also inspected and refreshed where necessary.

In this way, an authentic design classic is given a second life, while preserving its original character.

This price includes:

  • dismantling the armchair;
  • completely reupholster in the fabric of your choice, including new foam;
  • cleaning the frame;
  • installing the new upholstery.

Indication of total price

In most cases, the final price is between €1,200 and €1,500 excluding VAT, depending on the chosen fabric.


Method

  1. Send a message via the contact form indicating that you are interested in this armchair.
  2. We discuss the possibilities and the choice of fabric together.
  3. Upon a down payment of 50% of the base price, the armchair will be reserved for you and placed on the waiting list.
  4. We are going to choose fabric.
  5. You will be notified as soon as I start the work.
  6. The costs for the chosen fabric and any additional work will be included on the final invoice.
  7. The final invoice is paid upon collection or delivery of the armchair.


Pickup in Gorinchem is preferred. Delivery is possible from €30 per trip (depending on location), plus €0.30 per kilometer driven.
