Vintage design armchair

These characterful vintage armchairs are attributed to the Czech designer František Jirák for Tatra Nábytok. The design is characterized by elegant, organically shaped wooden armrests, slender lines, and a refined Mid-Century Modern silhouette. A timeless design that, with careful restoration, can last for many more years.


Both armchairs are available via the Claim & Create concept. They can be reserved as a set, but can also be chosen separately.


The current upholstery has seen better days, and the internal structure will also be renewed. This will result in an armchair that not only acquires a new look but also once again offers the seating comfort you would expect from a high-quality vintage piece of furniture.


With my help, you choose the fabric that perfectly suits your interior. Think of rich bouclé, luxurious wool, soft chenille, or refined velour. You also determine the color entirely according to your own taste. The wooden frame is carefully cleaned, lightly sanded where necessary, and finished with a warm walnut-colored furniture oil, bringing the beautiful wood grain back to life.


This creates a unique armchair where authentic design and contemporary comfort come together.

Starting price

From €495 excl. VAT per armchair

The starting price includes:

  • completely dismantle;
  • removal of the existing upholstery;
  • renewing the entire interior (where necessary);
  • inspecting and repairing the structure;
  • cleaning and treating the wooden frame;
  • finish with walnut-colored furniture oil;
  • completely reupholster;
  • assemble and finish.


Indication of total price

Depending on the chosen upholstery fabric and any additional restoration work, the final price is typically between €795 and €1,095 excluding VAT per armchair.


If you reserve both armchairs, we will fully coordinate the upholstery and finish for a harmonious whole.


Method

  1. Reserve a single armchair or the complete set via the contact form or by email.
  2. Together, we discuss the desired fabric, color, and look.
  3. Upon payment of a 50% deposit of the starting price, the armchair will be reserved for you.
  4. Next, the armchair is scheduled for restoration and reupholstering.
  5. The costs for the chosen fabric and any additional restoration work are included on the final invoice.
  6. The final invoice is paid upon collection or delivery.


Pickup in Gorinchem is preferred. Delivery is possible from €30 per trip (depending on the location), plus €0.30 per kilometer driven.

These armchairs are attributed to František Jirák for Tatra Nábytok. There is no factory label or other evidence available to definitively confirm the provenance. The attribution is based on the styling and design features of the model.
